Frida Kahlo Inspired Art Workshops

Let yourself be inspired by the colorful world of Frida Kahlo and discover three special art evenings full of creativity, experimentation, and self-expression. No experience is needed—only curiosity and the joy of creating!

You will learn three different techniques and go home each time with your own unique artwork. The workshops can be booked individually or as a full series.
Language: English or Dutch.

Come create, meet new people, and be inspired by art and nature.

Workshop 1: April 23 – Introduction to Frida Kahlo
We dive into the life and work of Frida Kahlo. Expect color, storytelling, and a creative exercise focused on self-expression. We start with a warm-up and then create your own unique artwork.
Materials: Acrylic paint

Workshop 2: May 21 – Watercolor Postcards
Create your own unique watercolor postcards. Playful, colorful, and perfect to send or keep. You will be guided step by step.
Materials: Watercolor paint

Workshop 3: June 18 – Making Botanical Paint
A special workshop where you make your own paint and paint with natural pigments. The lesson is inspired by Frida Kahlo.
Materials: Natural ingredients and pigment paint

Time: 19:00 – 21:00
Price: €45 per lesson or €120 for the full series, payable at the café after the (first) workshop.

About the teacher
Hester is an art teacher and works as an art therapist. She encourages you to give your own personal twist to each artwork. Hester guides you in your process, sometimes gently pushes you out of your comfort zone, and offers tips and tricks to help you bring out the best in yourself in a playful way.
