FAQs
Do I need to reserve my spot?
We do recommend booking ahead because the café can get busy, but if there’s no available time slots and you’re in the area you can always just walk in and see if we can squeeze you in.
Do I get to keep the materials?
When you choose an activity, you use materials from our communal art pantry, which you return at the end of your session, but you keep what you make! For example, if you paint a canvas, you use our acrylic paints and brushes in the café and then you get to keep your painting.
Can I bring my own art materials?
We have a few spots in the front of the cafe where you can just sit, order a coffee and use your own materials, but most of the tables are reserved for customers who order materials from our menu. Of course you can order materials from our menu and use your own materials alongside those.
Will you help me make something?
Art sessions in our café are self guided, and all items on our menu come with a manual. Our staff are available if you have any questions, and we have lots of books available for inspiration. If you prefer some more support you can always book one of our guided workshops!
What if I want to join my creative friends but I don’t want to make something myself?
Everyone is creative, even you! So no, you can’t join your friends at the studio tables and not order anything from our creative menu. Especially for people who think they’re not creative we have a snack menu with smaller ‘dishes’ that will get your creative juices flowing, promise!
Do you sell art materials?
Yes! We have a small selection of materials for sale in the front of the shop, and also some amazing handmade products and books on creativity and art.
What if my ceramic item breaks?
Sometimes, in the case of ceramics, things unavoidably break. If, for example your item cracks in the kiln, we are happy to have you back for a repeat session to make a new piece!
Can I bring my dog?
Yes! We love dogs so please do. We do have our own furry friend, Jessie, so please notify us when you come in so we can keep an eye on how they get along.
